Designing Tanzania's B2B Messaging Platform from Scratch
Product Marketing Site · Next.js · Multi-channel
Sakura SMS needed a marketing site that could sell a complex multi-channel messaging platform — SMS, WhatsApp, and APIs — to both non-technical business owners and developer teams simultaneously. The site had to generate signups, communicate pricing, and position the platform against established international competitors, all while grounding it firmly in Tanzania.
B2B messaging platforms are notoriously hard to explain. The site had to bridge two very different audiences: business owners who just want to send bulk SMS, and developers who want WebSocket APIs and webhook infrastructure. A single homepage needed to speak to both without losing either.
Built on Next.js with static generation for performance and a dark-first design language that signals technical sophistication
Structured separate product pages for SMS, WhatsApp, and Developer API — each with its own hero, feature breakdown, and CTA
Used Gochi Hand italic accents and marigold highlights to give the platform warmth and local character within a technical aesthetic
Designed the homepage hero around a live Command Center dashboard screenshot — showing the real product, not abstract illustrations
Resources section (blog, guides, API docs) built to drive organic search for Tanzania-specific messaging queries
Full mobile optimisation with sticky CTA bar and chat widget for lead capture
