Sakura SMS isn't just a marketing site — behind the signup is a full multi-tenant SaaS platform built entirely in-house. The portal gives businesses a complete toolkit: SMS campaigns, WhatsApp Business API, an AI-trained chatbot, developer API keys, automations, lead management, and a full billing system with credit ledger and usage analytics.
Building a production-grade SaaS platform from scratch with a two-person team. The portal had to serve non-technical business owners (who need one-click campaign sending) and API developers (who need webhook logs, rate limits, and key management) — in the same product, at the same time, without feeling complex to either.
Designed a role-aware sidebar that surfaces different tools for admin vs. client vs. developer users
Built SMS campaign flow with audience segmentation, scheduled sends, magic AI-write, template library, and real-time credit preview
WhatsApp Business API module with template management, broadcast scheduling, contact groups, flows, and a full conversation inbox
Kiki AI chatbot trained on a 2,300-line knowledge base — handles sales, support, and billing queries autonomously via WhatsApp and web widget
Admin Command Center with global platform health, API key monitor, gateway status, webhook logs, SMS audit, and AI assistant management
Full billing system: credit ledger, usage analytics, Stripe-style plan subscription pages with TZS pricing
